Seems like every few weeks there is a new project Fincher is working on. Hopefully SOME of them come to fruition.

HBO Muisc video series - http://www.thewrap.com/david-fincher-planning-to-direct-living-on-noise-pilot-for-hbo-exclusive/

Utopia remake - http://deadline.com/2014/02/hbo-utopia-series-david-fincher-gillian-flynn-682078/

James Ellroy Noir TV series - http://blogs.indiewire.com/theplayl...ting-1950s-crime-noir-series-for-hbo-20140908

Now this Strangers on a Train Remake....

If I can choose just one I'll take that James Ellroy noir series please :feedme:

I definitely agree. Fincher is great but he's not the director I'd pick for "Utopia".

The only reason I'm following it with cautious optimism is because hopefully they can finish the story.

Robert Walker was just about perfect in that movie..
Whoever plays that part will have to bring it. :leostare:

I trust Fincher and Affleck, but this worries me...Strangers is my favorite Hitchcock film and I don't know how you can remake this and using a plane...the train is one of the reasons the movie was so fukking thrilling...

If he can get the essence of the flim down it could be something really good. But again it will depend on actors, because
for me that is what made the movie, along with the plot. Walker and Granger played off each other so well in the film.
I really enjoyed the contrast in both characters.

Exactly. But the train setting was significant for me because Hitchcock always used his environments so well in all his movies...

One of my favorite Hitchcock film reshot by the ominous lens of Fincher:feedme:

...don't know about Ben tho, his boy Matt would be more suitable:yeshrug:

Sidebar, I'm looking forward to see how Fincher reinterpret Utopia:patrice:
