emma stone, can't understand how this wide set droopy eye bytch became a go-to

j law is overrated - tho i like her - her characters remind me of her, like it's not a stretch to be the quirky yet sexy chick for her

halle berry - she's not compelling as a lead, her post 1999 movies suck, her acting is bad, and she has no presence

jada pinkett - got the will smith stimulus package and entered an a-list life when her resume is lacking in every way possible

seth rogen (james franco when in seth rogen movies)

i do think will smith is a good actor, but he's been so uninteresting in his movie roles. dude needs to do something different

kirsten dunst - i don't think she matters much anymore, but she was a media darling at one point, she was awful and annoying

kristen stewart - she ruined charlize theron :hmm:

:dahell: i'm going to pretend I didn't read this.
You followed this post up by mentioning a classic actress whom you don't like because of her face. Sit this one out breh.
:dahell:

So he's supposed to be a good actor in a bad movie? :patrice:

This logic doesn't make sense breh

you the breh , but i cannot sanction this buffoonery

I expected these responses:manny: The thread asks for actors/actresses you don't care for, so I technically shouldn't have posted Leo because I do genuinely like him as an actor. But I think he's easily the most overrated actor in a very long time. The fact that people act like him not winning an Oscar is an affront to all that is right with the world is a main reason. @Jutt I don't expect him to be a good actor in a bad movie, I expect someone who is looked at in the light that he is looked at to be the reason the movie is good as opposed to just one of the reasons it's good. I asked this question after the outrage on here when he didn't win an Oscar last year: what great movie has Leo had the standout best performance in? Too often other actors outshine him in movies in which he's supposed to be the star. There are a ton of movies that I re-watch merely for a great performance from a particular actor. There are no Leo movies that I re-watch merely for his performance. I own a number of the movies he's starred in, but when I watch Gangs of New York, I'm watching it for Daniel Day-Lewis, an actor that actually has roles that have transcended the movie itself. When I watch The Departed, I'm watching for a great story and great ensemble cast. Again, I'm not saying he's a horrible actor, but the fact that my post got quoted as many times as it did, as opposed to nikkas naming Brando and other actually legendary actors proves my point.

With that said, if y'all want a PC answer, Ryan Gosling is overrated as fukk, too:manny:

I feel like leo had the best performance in django.

After rewatching the film I found it to be kind of a chore to get through until leo shows up.

And lets be real. You got quoted so much because youre obarth the gawd. No matter who you said youd get quoted a lot because your name rings out more than marlo stanfield. Obarth :blessed:

Leo was good in Django, but I thought Waltz stole the show in that one:manny: Like I said, it's a very unpopular opinion so I'm cool with dudes disagreeing.

The prettiest actress to me growing up was Geena Davis
Geena-Davis-2000.jpg
.. Highly underrated in beauty and talent...

But to answer your question the most overrated actor that (if you pay REAL attention to his movies) dont be talkin bout shyt and gets away with it because of his looks (no homo).. is no other then

Next time you watch a Brad Pitt film just pay attention to how lame his acting skills really are.

Your a good poster so I respect your opinion but I'll counter that The Aviator, Catch Me If You Can, and Wolf Of Wall Street are all great movies in which he DID carry the acting load and had standout performances. Gangs Of New York yes, Daniel Day Lewis outshined EVERYBODY in that role but I feel that people really use that particular film to discredit Leo when he wasn't even bad himself in the film.

He also VERY MUCH deserved a nomination for Django Unchained (as did Jamie Foxx but that's another debate) The fact he wasn't even nominated was a travesty in itself....

Blame the Weinstein's breh. We should all know at this point that studios campaign and politic for the oscar nominations, it's just like a senatorial or presidential campaign. The Weinstein's probably didn't think he'd win that year so they didn't push him. That was the year Daniel won for Lincoln right?

Well for Leo it would've been for Supporting Actor.

They pushed Christoph and didn't want them to split the votes. And Christoph deserved the best supporting nod for that role. And I don't think of Leo's role as supporting in that flick but maybe that's just me. I always define best supporting or best actor/actress performance by the character arc. If they go through an arc then they're not supporting. Leo's character went through an arc; he started in one spot and ended up in another. He's the main villain and the one the action revolved around him and he went from thinking one thing about the main character and then thinking something else about the main character. Christoph was the same in the first scene as he was in his last
