I don't know what makes one DC better than the other. The common denominator is players

I just don't think there is that much variance between the best and worst coaches in the NFL

Ultimately he is a good coach but his defenses which he has put together have been terrible. Once he lost the talent they fell off and all of his genious hasn't helped him put it back together. He gets by with having leads and forcing the other team to throw.

Obviously players and the organization in general have alot to do with it as well. But the man has had success damn near every where he's coached except for Cleveland. Brady is the only guy left from the 2001 team and their still in the conference championship game 10 years later.

I think its a fair point though if they thought Brady was gonna be anytihng special they wouldnt have waited so long to draft him
