While :beli: is known for his great defensive schemes which is true i think his two biggest strengths is one he involves everyone even scrubs and gets them in places to suceed most..

Too many coaches will force their schemes on players even if it doesnt fit theit strengths :beli: seems to be more fleixbile then most coaches wit hthat

I think his other biggest strength is the fact that hell pick on an injured player or teams weakness to the death

As soon as a starter goes down he goes after the replacemet at will no matter who the target is

It sounds simple but i think most of these coaches have their head up their asses and their ego is so big that thye have to stick to their "script" no matter what

The guy has a system and it works. Ozzie is implementing the same system he learned from Belichick while they were in Cleveland together and it obviously has worked in Baltimore. Now the GM with the Falcons who also came up with Belichick is doing the same thing.

Pioli fukked up when he hitched his wagon with Cassell, bit they do have decent talent over there.:yeshrug:

A few Floors Down from the Daily Grind
Top 5 Things Belly has going for him that keeps his teams at the top:

1) Organization

Robert Kraft and his son Johnathan have provided a unique hands off environment that allows him full football autonomy, top of the line facilities, smart business acumen and consistency of structure in all levels of the organization.

2) QB

Obviously credit is due to Bill and his staff for drafting Tom Brady, but in this day an age, a Coaches success is tied almost single handily to the hitch of who he chooses as his Quarterback. Tom Brady helps make Bill as successful as he's been.

3) Brains

The man is obviously smart, but when it comes to football he truly is genius -smart. He see's trends and weakness is both the rules, the players, and what other teams are doing and is constantly looking for advantages to help his players be successful. (Spygate...yeah, I get it) :rudy:

4) Flexibility

Bill is NOT an egomaniac. He is also not only willing to change his coaching style, he actually looks forward to trying new things to help keep himself excited about coaching football players in the NFL. He will take on bad personalities, injury risks, character risks, etc, all while mitigating the teams risk, if he believes he can help the team win more games.

5) Insatiable desire to Improve

Bill cares about winning more than anything and even at his age continues to dedicate all of his time to trying to be a better coach and get more out of the players he brings in, ever single day. This dude will make sure everyone on that roster knows that hes constantly look for a way to use them on the team...he wouldn't waste a roster spot on you if he didn't see you do something, somewhere, that might translate to helping the team win.

Plenty of coaches have bits and pieces of this stuff, but the first two answers have a lot to do with Bills success.

:rudy: He took Brady in the 6th round. He doesn't get any credit for that
