Been inside all weekend watching old movies because of all the rain. One thing you notice is that in every era there's the same group of 2nd and 3rd tier actors. So, some dude might get 20 lines in his hole career spread out over 5-10 years, then BUSHES.

I couldn't handle a career where you're waiting all the time for a callback and you never know if it's just another call or the last you'll ever get for a job

It can be, I know a cat who was told to arrive on set a 6am for a scene. They wrote his scene out and didn't tell him until 7pm that he could go home he got paid but still, he was sitting in a trailer the entire time and couldn't leave the set. Some of the shyt is torture

this muthafukka looks JUST like Biggie! got that lazy eye shyt and all that
he was just basically taking a shot in the dark
but he was so bumbed out over that shyt!
i remember him saying
"this was pretty much the only acting job i could possibly ever get! how many fukkin movies can the Notorious BIG star in?!"

Acting is awful. You get told constantly that you're not what we're looking for sorry

You're too fat

You're too old

You're not black enough

You're not sexy enough

Compound that with being a black actor and is 10x worse

them dudes be working regular ass jobs breh. i don't know if you've seen the show party down, but it's just like that.

i worked for a relocation company in LA part time for a little bit and half the people there, ranging from like ages 20-40, were tryna be actors. they talking about auditions and shyt, one nikka was telling me how our supervisor can't handle the pressure and she needs to be more like the costume director of Troy, who was cool when he forgot his costume at home.

these dudes be working $12 per hour jobs.
