The Terminate on Sight love in here is surprising me.

The tapes G-Unit dropped leading up to TOS (Body Snatchers and Elephant in the Sand) were way doper than the actual TOS album. I'm convinced that some of the best joints on Body Snatchers and Elephant were meant for TOS but had to left off due to sample clearance issues.

I do admit TOS had some bangers on there and a few really overlooked joints, but it was so far beneath Beg For Mercy and too many G-Unit tapes to count...both in their original tape series and the G-Unit Radio series.

TOS was better than Elephant In The Sand, But yeah ROTB was the best of the 3.

I don’t see what the issue was with TOS? Beats were good, mixing was good, content was back to the basics less female focused records.

TOS had some of gunits most cringeworthy songs. Straight outta southside, no days off ,ready or not and you so tough were all gunit classics tho if the album sounded more like that I think it would’ve been good.

My favourite song on T.O.S. I listen to this on the regular.

Yayo with that filet mignon flow.

50 with the hook floating like gravy on mashed potatoes.

Banks with the punchlines and pre-gruff voice.

Buck spitting that 2Pac-lite flow.

:wow:

I wish the original versions would leak one day because I remember 50 saying that they had to remove Buck's vocals on nearly all the songs after he left the group. :ohhh: I think that's why some of the songs feel a little incomplete. But I thought it was 8/10.

the highlight of t.o.s. for me was straight outta southside, track was sick and all three verses are rewindable

but yeah i agree it doesn't compare to body snatchers and elephant in the sand, they set the bar too high with those two. but isn't that a trend with rappers though? why are the mixtapes almost always better than the albums? ross, wiz khalifa, lupe, and currensy to name a few have had the same issue

far as bisd goes i thought baby by me and ok you're right were straight up wack while so disrespectful was the highlight. overall it was ehhh so i don't think it's underrated. just like curtis it was beneath an artist of 50's caliber i feel

Daps. Seems like you remember it better than me and have it thought out. I'm gonna re-listen to TOS with an open mind. Maybe I just remember it being worse than it was.

I still play that Ready or Not joint a lot.

most of the album was like that that though, there was only 5 single attempt songs on the whole album.

like which songs were cringe worthy? only ones i can think of is maybe Kitty Kat & Chase The Cat

:mjlol::damn:I blocked them outta my memory for a reason.

They had mixtape songs at the time like the ThisIs50 series of mixtapes that were 10x better than what they put on the album.:wtf:

off topic but does anybody in the game have more classic mixtapes than fif and g unit?

the sheer amount of classic material they delivered is astounding

and i honestly thought at one time that nobody could possibly surpass the lox when it comes to the mixtape game

Buck's ruined G-Unit three times now, man. :mjcry:

I think it's a wrap for his career now.

Breh was on the brink of getting the DJ Battlecat and Dr. Dre production too imagine that.:mjlol::francis:

Dipset have a phenomenal series but imho nothing trumps G-Unit in consistent quality. I honestly don't think 50's put out one bad solo mixtape. War Angel, Guess Who's Back and Forever King are better than some of his retail albums.
