I thought Mashburn was a great player. Maybe I’m remembering his Kentucky days. Looking back at his pro career numbers, he wasn’t a particularly effective player, save for his ability to get to the FT line.

Who knows what could have been had they all stayed together though.
Jamal Mashburn was underrated player. Even though injuries ruined his career and made him change his game (which affected his efficiency), he was still a prolific scorer and 2x all star. How many NBA players averaged 20 ppg in their final season? not many I bet

The story goes that Braxton stopped by the Mavs' hotel to pick up Kidd for a date but left with Jackson instead. Eventually, Kidd demanded a trade -- either him or Jackson -- and the Mavs dealt him to the Suns

:mjlol:
He came back and won a ship there tho...:yeshrug:

So that Toni Braxton situation was false:heh: she trolled and alluded to it being true. Their coach did say that they feuded over women tho.

From what was told in the video, it seems like Jim Jackson was the main problem. He feuded with both Kidd and Mashburn cuz of his ballhogging. It makes sense that he was traded so much.

Btw Damn the pre-Dirk Mavs were :trash::huhldup::hhh:

I knew those three had issues, but I guess it explains why when Don Nelson took over he had a mid season fire sale.

I don't think I can recall another team literally overhauling their whole roster during the middle of the season
