I worked at a video store for a few years (before Blu-ray). Burned myself out on needing to own all that shyt. Came home one day, looked around the house and was like :wtf: am I gonna do with all these DVDs? :damn:

I had to stop. :wow:

I would personally rather stream/rent from Netflix or Redbox, UNLESS... it's something from my all-time classic list or some obscure shyt I really wanna see but know Netflix is never going to get it. I don't buy new releases just to buy them. The newest theatrical release I plan to buy is Expendables 3, but I'm waiting for a price drop so I can pick up all three on Blu-ray at once.

I did buy the latest season of Doctor Who on Amazon digital though. I'm not patient to wait for a video release and it's cheaper this way. :yeshrug:

Maybe when digital copies come with lossless audio and uncompressed video. Otherwise I'm buying Blu-Rays until the format dies. And what will you do when your internet/VUDU/ goes down?? Or when they go out of service?

i love my blurays brehs :mjcry: dat quality :mjcry:

I still buy blu rays :damn:

the digital purchases are starting to come with the extras too..word to VUDU.

i still buy physical but i make sure they have the digital copy for travelling/backup purposes.

plus like having the physical because it looks dope on my shelf..

physical is really just for the die hard collectors now pretty much everyone is doing digital

and those b*stards get the movie 2-3 weeks before us :mjcry:

digital is convienant but that shyt where they can remove stuff aint flying with me at all

i got over 100 blu rays which i display
200 dvds but in cd cases
i buy certain animus too plus kids movies

i try to buy movies that have digital copy in case i go that route later down the line and for road trips for kids

vudu i dont like for 2 reasons
buffering problems i have had granted it wasn't often
but the biggest is this shyt the mouths being off when watching that shyt in hdx why should i have to watch this shyt SD when i have it in hdx :camby:

im a big apple fan so i use the copies more for iTunes but if i can double dip i will put it in both iTunes and vudu
now the the thing with iTunes is i know u can put on a external and u aint gotta worry bout them removing stuff but i ran into a issue a few yrs back where my damn external went bad randomly shyt was only a few months old which is another reason why I'm not big on digital

if they can guarantee me no movie or tv show removal quality and audio as good as blu ray then i would be more on board with digital even if they did i still prefer the best quality and audio over anything when it comes to movies

funny thing is with music i rather buy it digital :deadmanny:

vudu and iTunes quality aint got shyt on blu ray and it aint even close peeps who say otherwise :camby: especially on the audio side

but i wouldnt lie seeing all that access to tv shows and movies with a touch of a button can be tempting :noah:
especially on the anime part since I'm a big anime head and iTunes has a grip

but also digital tends to cost way more than physical :camby:

when that 4k drops consistently with movies ill be on that wave next but not an early adopter tho

i only buy movies that have replay value for me

:blessed: That's 1 of the beauties of UltraViolet and Disney Movies Anywhere. They're run by the studios. So if 1 day VUDU goes out of business, I can still access my UltraViolet collection at another UltraViolet retailer like CinemaNow, Target Ticket, Flixster, M-Go, & etc AND I can still access my Disney Movies Anywhere collection at another Disney Movies Anywhere retailer like Google Play and iTunes.
