i went to see it with my mom when they released it in 3D... it was pretty fukking dope in 3D, esp the beginning part with the stained glass window...Beauty and the Beast is probably my favorite of the 90s Disney animated masterpieces.

I watch once a yearLearn something new each time. Gaston is the true hero of the story. The townsfolk were all hating on Belle cuz he could read, Gaston DA gawd was the only one who spoke up for her. Belle's pop was senile and routinely put her life in danger. Beast was a wife beater..... this story is a classic case of woman choosing the bad boy over the other even doe Gaston was alpha as fukk. Tale as old as time indeed.

He was busy filming the post-Knight Of Cups Terrence Malick movie, then put his acting on the backburner to focus on his directorial debut. He's currently filming Shane Black's The Nice Guys which also stars Russell Crowe and Kim Basinger but he has no projects lined up after that so this one is definitely a possibility. I'm not sure if he'll take it though. He likes to do the heart throb role once in a while to keep his star up, but he's not a big budget blockbuster guy at all.

He tried (blockbuster wise which I enjoyed even though it was panned) with Gangster Squad but he needs to attach himself to a project with a relevant actor because he's fading a bit. I'm not sure how Beyond the Pines did commercially but I thought it was great even though he was barely in it.
Russell Crowe and Kim Basinger are two examples of actors he doesn't want to end up like career wise.
For the record, I fukking loved Only God Forgives even though everyone else hated it.
