I'm not a Manny fan but let's get some context on people saying that McGregor hit Mayweather more.
1) The only reason McGregor got in as many hits as he did is that Mayweather used a sub-optimal strategy in order to ensure that the fans got what they wanted: A knockout. Had Mayweather employed all of his defensive tools, Connor wouldn't have landed 1/3 of those hits.
2) Pacquiao would rock McGregor in the boxing ring.
I get that some people are looking for a silver lining after seeing this real-life rendition of 'The Great White Hype' but sometimes an L is just an L and the only positive to be gleaned is a life lesson. This is one of those times.

For a person with no professional boxing experience, that cac actually held his own for most of the fight.
I'm happy Floyd won, as I would not have wanted to see cacs celebrate.
But, Floyd needs to retire. Any other elite boxer would have handed Floyd a solid L tonight.
