Can your eyes be dark as a baby and lighten? I know they can be light as a baby and darken?

By one year they should be permanent, and that's at the longer end. The picture says she's one year old already...

Eye color ain't really a big thing to me, but I guess I prefer brown eyes. shade of brown don't matter.

Not really, it helps somewhat but I dnt have a bias or specific preference for it. Not gonna bush a chick cuz her eyes aren’t light wtf. Plus I think eye shape and how intense or soft a female’s eyes are, are more attractive than eye color. I’ve told @Marti that she has beautiful eyes multiple times and hers aren’t light

There are some African individuals with light eyes i encountered while visiting relatives in my parents country. Most of the individuals i had seen have light brown eyes or hazel, and occasionally you see people with green eyes obviously it is not the norm, but you can find it. However, i have never seen a brown or black African with "blue eyes", again i am only speaking of my parents country. At the same time i met one person with blues eyes in North Africa. I remember visiting friends in London some years back of a Nigerian soul singer Lemar Obika who eyes is green, and both of his parents is Nigerians. He was popular there and i remember a duet between him and Lionel Richie in London some years ago.
