Exactly. That girl was not a working girl. We all have been at the store or out by ourselves --- and few men approach trying to holla at once -- or wait their turn too.
Then you politely say - "Thank you, but I'm not interested" - or "Thank You, I'm in a relationship" -- and some still act dumb AF.
This is where you have a few choices:
- 1. take a chance and defend yourself (talk shyt back)
- 2. be silent and let them talk shyt/disrespect you
- 3. ask the owner/cashier (if he is not apart of the crowd) to tell the dudes to back off.
I usually just take option 2, smile and keep it moving.

I carry but at the Gas Station -- I keep it in my car. I very cautious with my gun. I have only had to show/inform I was carrying once the entire time I have had it - and it was on non-Black person harassing a black child at a store.
I am not expecting that type of situation to happen while paying for things.
That's why I do not go to gas station that do not have a well-lit and open store front at night. I live in Atlanta -- so if it's not a QuickTrip then I'm not stopping. And even at QuickTrip, depending where you stop at -- can get dumb.

That girl looked like a victim. Not victim blaming. She looked like she couldnt protect herself, like she would take whatever energy they were giving. (Crossed arms, bowed head, making herself smaller). Thats what most predatory people are attracted to. Someone who looks like easy prey.
I know im 5'2. I normally have my headphones in, I walk fast. I usually avoid eye contact. I just walk by and say "no, thank you".
Sometimes, nikkas will follow you but I just smile and laugh it off with a "sorry, im good"/"no thanks". Im polite to appease them, in hopes that they keep it respectful.
If I really feel like he's not backing down or getting very disrespectful. Then the hood has to come out and I will curse him out.
Some women dont even go that far. My mom told me to either make a phone call or pretend to. Girls hold keys between their knuckles, carry knives and pepper spray. Or will just straight curse a nikka out.
It doesnt always work and there are still nikkas that react violently to being rejected.
And then they act like we're the crazy ones for being so on guard.
