In a way, trans identity is very much tied to patriarchy and misogyny. If you ever read any trans men stories, they often talk about their internalized hate for women because they were taught that women were less than.

You have stories of trans women who feel they failed to perform masculinity so badly that they feel that they must be women.

And both trans men and women often transition because instead of standing proudly in their queerness, they rather transition to help better replicate normal man/woman parings that are endorsed by patriarchy.

Make it okay for people to show up how they want to show up, regardless of what's in their pants. Ideally a female who's more comfortable dressing, talking, walking and just living as a boy/man wouldn't have to go as far as getting surgery to feel valid. Same thing for males who are more comfortable doing the opposite.

I got family in the LBGT community. One who just turned 60 matter of fact. I'm sure if she was coming of age in this time period she might have different pronouns or whatever...but she didn't have to do that. Even in my very black family, nobody was surprised about her being gay, nobody openly talked shyt about her playing basketball, driving busses, doing general dude shyt. Nobody discussed it at the dinner tables, we just let her fukking rock, we minded our business for the most part.

I'm all for her being able to let her proverbial nuts hang lol. But at some point in these conversations biological sex is going to be relevant, we can't just pretend it doesn't exist to keep you comfortable. You can't ask people to participate in shifting the paradigm around gender and then tell them to shut up about it because they're not trans.
