Don't get me wrong.....I thought they were 2 of the dopest Oakland had, and I really think Ron could have been recognized as one of the all time greatest if he didn't die...

But I don't honestly think that too many other felt that way...you've got $hort, Heiro, Del, Hobo Junction...I feel like (and maybe I'm wrong) the majority of folks would name those cats before they got to Ant.....

Rappin Ron was the West Coast version of Big L. All of his peers knew he was the best, when Yukmouth had his smoke-a-lot website I asked him on his forum who he thought was the best ever and he said lyrically it was Ron but album wise it was Pac. If you know anybody from Oakland over the age of 25 they'll agree that Ron was on his way to being the goat. He died right before it all began to happen just like Big L did. My big cousin put me up on Bad-N-Fluenz and I was turned out ever since. Ron and Diddley are the best to do it lyrically from the Bay and if you go ask your fav Bay rapper on twitter if they respond they'll agree.
