I ran through a JDiggs Playlist this weekend. He’s right there with BLegit for me as underrated. Never gonna go bar for bar with anyone, but I'll be damned if they don't make slappers...

Someone needs to make a compilation of livewire tracks. Listening to these tracks and these were some grimey days.







It's weird how much this era sort of gets overlooked in bay area history. I suppose it was just too insular of a movement, because even today you'll only really hear Lil Blood's third world at a function.. and even that ain't that common.



I remember thinking Triffe was the coldest song back in high school lol

@dora_da_destroyer , I don't think I've ever heard that and that ain't true, is it?

Dru Down's third album, Can You Feel Me, was released in 1996, and spawned a single of the same name that was a minor but commercial hit. It also featured a collaboration with Bootsy Collins, who Dru Down refers to as his "illegitimate father".

I don't think it is...
