Born and raised just outside of Boston MA,
@thekushskywalker has always had a knack for creativity. He started writing lyrics and trying to become a rapper at a young age and quickly learned that he wanted original beats. He installed Fruity Loops and the rest was history. Eventually he worked his way into becoming a lead tech at Akai Pro and building his own studio, as well as working on the MPC5000. His production style is mix of sample heavy vocals, drum breaks and dusty samples, all blended with a high energy uptempo 808 vibe. Mainly using Logic Pro KushSkywalker looks forward to becoming one of the premier producers in the game.
1. Do you wear your Storm Trooper mask often? Honestly, no lol. I do wear it in beat-making videos, during appearances, and use it as an online moniker on soundcloud/twitter/forums etc. I'll wear it more often pending further success!
2. What's been your greatest accomplishment in life so far? The birth of my baby boy Jayden. He is an amazingly beautiful baby boy and is the reason behind everything I do. The motivation he gives me is like nothing I ever felt before him.
3. Fav rap album and why? Fav rap album!?!?? This is crazy hard to do
. I've got a few. First is "The Chronic", god dayum, the production and mix on this were next level to me. The clarity, the funk...classic. "Doggystyle" for all the same reasons, plus Snoop's laid back buttery flow. "Illmatic" I have memorized front to back, classic production...Nas in his prime! I'd have to say my ultimate favorite is Big Pun's "Capital Punishment"...the beats, the lyrics, the flows... "dead in the middle of Little Italy little did we know that we riddle some middlemen who didn't do diddly" WOW!!!
