Think they should have just kept 64 players and focus on Frame rates increases
Wouldn't be the first time it was 128 players. Worked well before, the issues arise when you have massive objectives that make everyone converge into each other, that's when latency becomes a problem. If it's separated by different objectives it usually works out, there was a game called MAG awhile back that did this well. (Although I think that one was 256 players)
