The popular Battlelog service for Battlefield titles may return with the release of Battlefield 6.
It appears that after many years of silence, the official Battlelog Twitter has finally tweeted. The tweet announced some fixes to the Battlelog system relating to recognizing DLC’s for subscribers of EA Play across platforms for games like Battlefield 3, Battlefield 4, and Battlefield Hardline.
This tweet comes after a string of replies made from the account, which was previously dormant since November 17, 2014, or almost seven years.
The first reply the account made was on January 21, 2021, in response to an Apex Legends trailer video posted by the Lead Community Manager of EA Studios Europe
@PartWelsh.
Veteran players of the Battlefield franchise may recall the importance of the Battlelog service, which was way ahead of its time. The service offered players ways to see their Battlefield stats such as kill to death ratios (K/D) and player level, as well as game history.
Battlelog was offered on mobile devices and browsers, before being overhauled to the
Battlefield Companion App for Battlefield 1 and Battlefield V.
Popular YouTuber
@DANNYonPC also took notice of the action of the account and mentioned that they changed their profile banned to Battlefield V. The Battlelog Twitter replied in what seems to be a cryptic message or a tease.
With the recent rumors of Battlefield 6 being in development, we can’t help but think that the Battlelog Twitter has been awoken for more reasons than just this small update. Could DICE be considering bringing back the beloved service alongside their next Battlefield title?
Only time will be able to tell if DICE is teasing us or hinting at a future project. We’ll update you if any more information is released.
