Since no one answered by question, this is what I found from reddit for gamepass/ea play subscribers who want to use it for
"You need EA Play, so if you've got Game Pass Ultimate, which includes it, go to Games & Apps, then EA Play and you'll see BF2042 in the trials section at the top. Select it and you may see the trial option on this next page. If not, click through to the store from here and you should see the EA Free Trial option.
"Download off gamepass app off your phone"
"
Here's what you should do.
First, link your EA and Microsoft (xbox) accounts:
- Go to https://help.ea.com/en/
- If you're currently logged in, log out.
- Click "LOG IN." Should be in the upper right-hand corner.
- You should see an option that says "sign in using Xbox live." Click that.
- After you sign in with your Xbox account, you'll be prompted to sign in with your EA account.
If you've done all of the above, the accounts should be linked. Here's how to verify that the accounts are linked:
- Once again, go to https://help.ea.com/en/
- In the upper left-hand corner there should be a drop down menu labeled "Accounts." Click that.
- Next, click "Account Security."
- On the left-hand side of the screen there should be a panel with a bunch of tabs. The last tab should be "Connections." Click that.
- This tab shows your linked accounts. If all has gone to plan, you should see your Xbox live account listed.
Last step. For whatever reason, Origin does not communicate with the whole EA Play, game pass apparatus. You need to download the EA Desktop app. I have no fukking clue why EA feels the need to operate two separate game launchers, and not have fukking feature parity between them.
EA App Open Beta
Anyway, download EA Desktop, login with your EA account, and you'll be able to make use of your EA Play subscription.
