Here's a shytty picture of Seth Lugo delivering a pitch to Marcel Ozuna in the first game of the doubleheader. A couple of notes from this game.
David Peterson looked good. Guys like him and Trevor Williams have help the rotation stay afloat along with Carrasco bouncing back after his first rough year with the team after deGrom and Scherzer spending significant time on the IL.
Mets have a good bullpen by the numbers, but I think those stats are inflated because of Diaz's brilliance. Still not another arm that I'd trust in a big spot in the postseason. You could the disgust from the crowd after Buck was forced to bring in Diaz after Lopez shat the bed in the ninth inning.
Wasn't impressed with the start from Odorizzi. They have a great top three-four starters, but it feels off a cliff after that and Strider's and Wright's workload are something to watch out for. Michael Harris Jr is a future star. He should be batting higher over Ozuna and Rosario.
Gonna be a fun race between two elite teams to watch down the stretch
