I don't even know where all that 250 mil went. Avengers had more superheroes, a full CGI hulk, an army of aliens, giant alien dragons, the helipad... and it's budget was less than BVS.

BVS had only 2 superheroes (WW only appears in action for about 5 min)... way less action, 2 hours of dialogue, terrible and obvious CGI.

Where did all that money go???
Your stanning aside, actors pay is probably a big difference between the two. Marvel only paid Robert Downey Jr. real money.

you WB defenders gotta stop, this is fukkin terrible. do you have any idea what a classic movie would have grossed? people would still be talking about it. we would have classic quotes for days. it would have been a huge blockbuster hit.

Lemme ask you a question what if the movie would have made only 700 million? what if the movie grossed JUST ENOUGH for the studio heads to make a profit... would you consider that a success? Even after all that time, effort and money into making this their biggest film event in years? I'm curious, if 800 million isn't a disappointment then what is??

all these big superhero movies at other studios making MORE MONEY with less valuable properties and you don't think someone at warners is mildly upset?
Anything under a billion is a disappointment :ehh:

melissa mccarthy knocks BVS out of the no. 1 spot in only it's 3rd week :scusthov:

‘The Boss’ Fires Batman & Superman – Late Night Box Office Update

BVS projected WW gross: 830 million
Iron Man 3 WW gross: 1.2 billion
Avengers AOU WW gross: 1.4 billion
Avengers 1 WW gross: 1.5 billion

who here thought BVS would only make HALF of what avengers made?

not WB i can tell you that.:cape:

The film is only in its third weekend and it's 100 mil away from that. You really believe that if the movie stays out for another 7 weeks it can only pull 100 mil both domestically and worldwide :dahell:

Especially considering its only about 15 mil behind what Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 2 had around its third weekend, a film that made 1.3 billion

Uh, you do realize that it's had virtually no competition and it's still barely moving right? Soon jungle book drops and then civil war, the number of screens and number of showings will be less and less.

in 2-3 weeks no one will be going to see this anymore. it might even struggle to make the top 5 come May

The film is on track for what billion dollar movies make in their third weekend though. Harry Potter made 6.5 mill on its third Friday, 8.4 mil on its third Saturday, and 6.9 mil on its third Sunday. This movie WW is 300 mil behind that one and if the gap doesn't fall off to hard with those films coming out it could easily make 1 bill WW. The movie is already close to 800 mil ( 783 WW) and that's without the domestic and foreign Saturday and Sunday numbers. I doubt this film can only pull 30 mil more in seven weeks both domestic and foreigin even with the Jungle Book and Civil War drops.

The Jungle Book will obviously be number one once it opens with BvS being number two and when Civil War comes around it'll be number 3 behind Jungle Book and Marvel but at that point it'll be in its seventh weekend where big films ususally make about 6k to 1 mil on the weekend.
