I'll say this much. Jack's laugh was better. Heath's laugh could be outright terrifying (I'm a man of my word... ) but I thought Jack's version was able to capture that horrific glee in a way Heath's version did not. One of the things that makes the Joker so scary is that he finds humor and delight in things most ordinary people would find petrifying. Things like murder and mayhem aren't just funny to The Joker, they're HILARIOUS to him.

I know the tone of Burton's Batman allowed for a more lighter approach but when Jack's Joker was out there killing people and causing mayhem it really looked like he was having fun. A lot more than Heath's Joker. His maniacal laugh came straight from the belly... almost like he had just heard the funniest joke in the world. Believe it or not that isn't easy for an actor to do but Jack pulled it off flawlessly.

Yeah they each played the role right based on the movie they were in. And like you pointed out, Jack's Joker enjoyed the killing more and seemed to kill a lot more. I mean he killed BOB! How do you pop Bob the goon like that? Your right hand man? Plus, his Joker took down the batwing with a giant gun

resurrected the franchise after adam west almost killed it and paved the way for what you see today :blessed:

I love you breh but Adam West didn't almost kill anything. The comics were already resurrected in the 70s and 80s and they were fresh off of the dark knight returns and the killing joke so Batman was going well in publication and as much as people dump on the 60s show, it introduced A LOT of people to Batman because of syndication. It was just as important as keeping Batman's names on peoples mouths as anything else going on at the time. If anything, the movie made it easier for the cartoon to come about and we see what happened there. So ease up with dumping on Adam West and his show. It served its purpose

I think that's a purchase I need to make. But I already have that special edition on DVD so it feels like a pointless cop unless it's cheap enough to warrant the purchase. I love the flick but I love saving money more :yeshrug:

It's usually 7 bucks and change. Wal Mart bin always have it. I think you can get the steelbox at BB for $7.99

Yeah fa sho.I fukked with Adam West Batman.Sadly i have a picture of me as a kid with the 89 batman logo shirt on standing in front of the adam west bat mobile because it came around my way one time.

I meant to say it was no more funny business. It was more like the comic.

Part of me wishes they coulda filmed this a few years earlier when Jack was still skinny.

He killed the role regardless but the Joker is traditionally a skinny, frail looking character and Jack was just a lil on the pudgy side.

There was a time when Jack probably could have looked EXACTLY like the Joker should.

:obama: u and me both breh. But again to be fair, the tv show was doing what the comic was doing at the time, it was popular for about a year and then it was done lol. They needed to make a change in the comics first and thank God they did
