Word. I watched it again early this morning off the strength of this thread. Though I loved Nolan's take, I still feel that Burton's Batman in the '89 flick was

Bottom line: This movie deserves its place in history for nikkas like us. It's too important a movie to discredit because better versions of Batman now exist.

The hype for this movie back in the day was crazy. You could probably argue which movie had bigger cultural impact between this and the Dark Knight in 2008.

Add Beetlejuice to Burton's early work...he was on fire then.

This movie has too much style to "not age well". I loved Jack's Joker effing up every place he went.

The cultural impact of this was bigger than The Dark Knight . I used to have all of the Topps trading cards and a large Vicki Vale poster on my bedroom wall. Had to let go of the poster after a year later though. Had too much fun with it

Liked Batman Returns and Batman Forever too but Forever didn't age as well.
