It's true and it's not only that the guys are smaller. Most of the small guys also don't have legit athletic, fighting or toughman backgrounds.

I know the Firefly Funhouse is a hot topic in wrestling today but something about Redneck Cult Leader Bray was dope as hell, shame they never capitalized on the gimmick, could’ve led to a much bigger Wyatt family (with like 5 or 6 members).

Dudes like Jinder, Rusev, Sheamus, Cesaro, Samoa Joe, Big E, & even Drew Mac all have that natural intimidating factor with them. They’re just made to look like clowns so often that people can’t take them serious.

Austin had such a badass aura that it was believable that he could square up with not just any boxer, but MIKE fukkING TYSON. This is problem I have with WWE now, they need to realize that they’ve solved the in-ring problem, the wrestling is great but now they need to fix the character problem, other companies like MLW and Impact, hell even their own in NXT are showing that you can have great wrestling and great characters at the same time.
