Mike Brown was my scapegoat when he was hired. He's an idiot and pretty clueless. His offense, his rotation and sub patterns are terrible. The players don't respect him and I don't blame them.

Lakers could somehow win the championship this year and I still want Mike Brown gone.

:russ: at mike brown being the scapegoat we literally can send 5 different competitive sized lineups out there fault your front office for gIving Kobe that contract.

You could send 5 different lineups and Mike Brown would not make any adjustment. The roster is not as bad as it seems, it's just his offensive sets leave alot to be desired. His subs/rotations leave alot to be desired.

For example, if Ebanks is good enough to start in Kobe Bryant/Artest's absence why is he not good enough to play at least 10 minutes a game when Kobe is healthy?

We just finished a series where we saw Blake get manhandled by Andre Miller. So Mike Brown decides to try Blake on Harden.

Mike Brown still running offensive sets where Ramon Sessions spots up. :childplease: Get him going to the basket, try a Gasol & Sessions pick and roll, or a double screen that gets Sessions some space to drive to the basket.

Why when we go to our bench, why not play Goudelock? He can score, that's what we need off our bench.

It's alot of simple shyt that seems to elude Mike Brown. fukk him.

Lakers fans like to look for an instant scapegoat whenever they lose. "It's Mike Brown's fault. Pau is a bytch. fukk Bynum. Steve Blake sucks."

The fact of the matter is this team just isn't that good. They are not title contenders and never were this season. They've always been a clear notch below SA and OKC this season. They've looked inferior when they went up against elite competition most of the time in the regular season. I have no idea why Lakers fans thought they legit contenders. I guess they thought since the franchise has a championship pedigree, they were somehow gonna turn on some magic Laker switch in the playoffs. This is same team that got swept by Dallas in the 2nd round last year, just with Sessions instead of Fisher which is nothing more than a slight upgrade if any, no Lamar Odom which was a huge loss especially on a team with no bench, and Mike Brown instead of Phil Jackson, which was a downgrade. What the fukk is wrong with yall?

I remember polls on sohh like halfway through the season where the Lakers got the most votes to win the west and certain posters literally laughing and saying it's pretty much impossible that the Spurs would beat them in the playoffs. Lol...who told yall your team was elite? "Kobe gonna go supersaiyan psycho bean in the playoffs!!! The game slows down in the playoffs and we got two big men!"

:childplease: Just cue up the "NEXT YEAR OUR STARTING LINEUP IS GONNA BE KOBE, DARREN WILIAMS, CARMELO ANTHONY, KEVIN LOVE, AND DWIGHT HOWARD MITCH GONNA MAKE IT HAPPEN" posts. Yall can't compete with OKC and you were never relevant in 2012.

I'm a Laker fan and I agree with you. Lakers tried to get Chris Paul but when that fell through, we were still one of the better teams in the NBA.

The Mike Brown blame comes up all the time because NO ONE (except Jim Buss) WANTED HIM. We already knew what it was hitting for. I feel like any significant wins this season were always in spite of his bad coaching. Anyone with a brain can see he is routinely outcoached and he's showing no sign of improving.

To be honest, I wanted Rick Adelman. You'd think the Lakers would hire the one available guy who's teams always gave us trouble in the playoffs and played w maximum effort even if they had little talent. Brian Shaw would've at least kept the triangle, he knows what the squad is built for and knows the players and has the respect of Kobe and the team.

None of that would matter against this OKC team tho, it's just their time. Sam Presti built a great team and has the advantage of not paying them all top dollar yet. Scott Brooks knows what he's doing and can lead them to a ring. I'm a fan of them and hope they win the chip since the Lakers obviously won't.

At the end of this season Lakers need to reconstruct the team and get what they can for Gasol. He's our 3rd option and getting paid way too much to show up every once in a while. The twin tower approach is cool, but we need a mobile/high energy PF to pair with Bynum and some perimeter shooters to give Bynum & Kobe the space to work the post.

Mike Brown as the coach should have a defensive plan and adjust depending on who's on the floor. If Westbrook is going to run off screens and Mike Brown doesn't want them switching, it makes no point to have Kobe waste his time guarding Westbrook. Kobe guarding Russ when Sabo is in the game makes sense, but when Harden checks in....at least make an adjustment.

I prefer locks and ebanks to split SG duties when Kobe is off the floor. The Sessions/Blake backcourt is putrid. Same backcourt that made Andre Miller look like an All Star. :childplease:

It was already over before it started. How can a team that can't defend the perimeter keep up with Westbrook/Durant/Harden when they can't score enough to keep it close? Ibaka, Perkins, and Collison are no defensive slouches. They're not going to let Bynum and Gasol just impose their will on them. The Lakers will win probably 1 or 2 because OKC is bound to have a bad shooting night or two and Kobe will probably explode once or twice. But win the series? Not unless OKC has an injury to one of the big 3.

Kobe stans bout to have a very rough, rough off season. There's gonna be absolutely no way now that they can rationally try to debate that bean is on mike's level. his window of opportunity to surpass, or even reach, some of mike's vaunted accomplishments is getting mighty small.
