Yeah that happened a lot, almost as much as Bynum camps in the lane.
Go down the sheet and its pretty even. Thunder shot slightly better, though both teams were terrible. Lakers got a few more boards, Thunder forced a few more turnovers. The only glaring discrepancy is 28 ft's to 42, which is not a big deal if one team is aggressive and actually being fouled while the other is settling for jumpers. Except that wasn't the case. Laker fans complained every time Harden drives and gets the call. Isn't that how you're supposed to draw fouls? Meanwhile Kobe doesn't have to even attempt the same thing because he managed to draw enormous amounts of fouls on well-contested jumpers and standing around before a play even develops. Everyone saw it in the thread and there's dozens of posts about it happening. Lakers won the game so now the fans are happy and when stupid people get happy they get belligerent so they're acting like this shyt never happened and its all good in Lakerville again.![]()
There were bad calls and missed calls both ways but the Lakers just got a whole lot more of em and that ended up the difference in the game. That's a problem to me, refs literally deciding the outcome. And props to the Lakers (and the Thunder) for being historically good at the line and capitalizing on all the ft's but again, doesn't change the fact that "questionable" officiating ended up being the difference, all the way down into crunch time.
Name 3 bad calls Kobe got tonight.
what if perkins told him he had an itch![]()
Those two shots that Harden blocked that were called fouls should count as about 3 bad calls each![]()
If that was the first half, I didn't see that. I mean in the second half. Because OKC had the lead and everything.
So you think Kobe should be entitled to receive 3 bogus calls per half?

They lost by 3, he made all 4 foul shots on two clean blocks, that's pretty bad![]()
I'll give it to you as long as you don't try to justify Kerry Kittles being a good player again...I hate that man.![]()
Harden gets a LOT of calls, indeed as much as any bonafide superstar in the league. The thing is, there's a reason for that, which is that he's GOOD at drawing the foul. He has a unique and awkward position in which he holds the ball super low on drives, almost at his knees, then he quickly rises up THROUGH the defender's outstretched arms and goes up. By the rulebook, that's a foul. Add to that he's deceptively quick, southpaw, AND he's got the Euro Step down and dude is a monster on the drive. People say he gets superstar calls but they're actually at least AS legit as calls superstars get because Harden forced the refs to give him those calls by taking advantage of the rules and being creative. It's something different and who know, they might decide to change how they're gonna call his drives at some point but at the same time, once its known that he gets a lot of calls, refs are more inclined to keep giving him calls because its become business as usual. We witnessed the same thing happen with Dwyane Wade until no one batted an eyelash anymore and just accepted it. Can't fault Harden unless you're gonna get mad at, for example, Kobe abusing dudes with pump fakes and getting calls on the way down.First off, when I say no one, I means fans of actual teams. I stop regarding your posts on anything basketball related when you said that Gentry wasn't running D'Antoni's offense more or less. I thought you had a brain up until then. I had even given you props while you were sonning some of the more annoying Lakers fans. So when I say no one, I'm talking about everyone hopping in here and throwing in their 2 cents that was all pro OKC in that series. I can't remember a single post you made during that time. I'll take you at your word though.
As far as separating logic. You can't be serious. I've been talking about this guy Harden's FTs way before they ever played LA. That's why this bytch Loose is mad. Harden gets more FT love than most superstars. It's incredible to me. KD gets his superstar calls to but Harden is on some other shyt. Furthermore, cut this garbage out about this WAAAAAAAAAY superior nonsense. The Thunder barely squeaked out a W in game 2 and played their best in recent memory in game 1. Two unusual events. Was it BS when Harden had our entire team in penalty last game? Was it BS that got us the lead? No. We had and lost that game ourselves.
I call everything one hundred. The calls Kobe got tonight, he can get any night. Any call he got that was "phantom" was made up for by the calls he didn't get while in the act of shooting. I mean Van Gundy played a clip 5 plays where the dude was fouled and made a shot with no call. Durant's "block" was a foul. The Pac reference should have been easy to get. What is he most in trouble for right now? Anti-homosexual rhetoric. Put two and two together and figure out what I was calling you.
I missed the first half BTW, I only get the final 3 minutes of it, and that second half is nothing like what you're claiming. LA FT differential was due to the bigs. OKC shot more jumpers. Whenever they went in the paint they got a call. You're mad at Bynum getting calls while fighting in the paint? Are you serious?![]()
Lakers fans are just happy that they won't get swept.
