The fact of the matter is this team just isn't that good. They are not title contenders and never were this season. They've always been a clear notch below SA and OKC this season. They've looked inferior when they went up against elite competition most of the time in the regular season. I have no idea why Lakers fans thought they legit contenders. I guess they thought since the franchise has a championship pedigree, they were somehow gonna turn on some magic Laker switch in the playoffs. This is same team that got swept by Dallas in the 2nd round last year, just with Sessions instead of Fisher which is nothing more than a slight upgrade if any, no Lamar Odom which was a huge loss especially on a team with no bench, and Mike Brown instead of Phil Jackson, which was a downgrade. I remember polls on sohh like halfway through the season where the Lakers got the most votes to win the west and certain posters literally laughing and saying it's pretty much impossible that the Spurs would beat them in the playoffs. Lol...who told yall your team was elite? "Kobe gonna go supersaiyan psycho bean in the playoffs!!! The game slows down in the playoffs and we got two big men!"

Yes, you proceeded to get one up on a bunch of 19 year old clowns that we call out ourselves. Now that we got that out of the way. The Lakers were relevant in 2012, you don't get the third best record in the West being irrelevant. At one point we were about to take the 2 seed from you before injuries and Mike Brown being found out again. The fact is, from day 1 we did not want Mike Brown. It was only the guys like CantStop who were running around screaming that Phil never did anything.
From the jump we said that we'd have to win in spite of Mike Brown and that's why Chris Paul was important. The team was playing well in spite of him, but at the end of the day he's coach and he's forgotten all that BS he said in the beginning of the season about a meritocracy. The roster is not nearly as bad you guys make it seem, but it's not great ever. It's just that he ruins lineups and these guys have still yet to form any chemistry. Subbing in Goudelock and Ebanks could be like bringing in a Mo Williams and a guy like Bradley, but he's mismanaged it. But don't say fans were delusional using red herrings and strawmen.
