If you like reading you should read Showtime by Jeff Pearlman and Loose Balls by Terry Pluto, trust me you’ll fly through both and the stories are insane.
I read Showtime. I still need to get around to Loose Balls and Breaks of the Game. Seven Seconds or Less was dope too minus the author's bias that was seeping through in regards to his opinions on some of the players.

I’ve heard is it true dude hates Amare and Shawn Marion. I think I’m about to read breaks of the game since you mentioned it.

Yup, he stays killing them for complaining about their importance to the team and them saying they deserve more respect and he makes it seem as if Nash just completely made those guys. When Nash is struggling in the playoffs he just brushes it off but if those two have a bad game he pyscho analyzes them.

Yeah that’s fukked up and honestly he probably had Nash and D’Antioni as his main sources so they spoon feed him what they wanted.

If this excerpt doesn't get you emotional then you really never played basketball or had a strong love for the game:

GOAT sport.

Damn this shyt gave me the feels :mjcry:

I truly feel sorry for anyone who never experienced how therapeutic it is to find yourself in a completely empty gym or park just shooting by yourself late into the night

Shyt is better than any high any drug could give you

When all those hall of famers starting saying where they came from and then Connie Hawkins saying he was never told he was good at anything outside of basketball :mjcry:

I figured this was only book and ESPN+ paid content so I haven’t payed it much attention. I see it’s airing on Tuesdays starting tonight, so will DVR.

It just bothers me that ESPN.com is one the most visited sports site, has ads, yet still wants to squeeze us for paid subscriptions to its good online content. That tactic alone made me want to just support The Athletic instead.

This is nice. I'm liking the tone shift from the "Celebration of the good ole' days" to "Yea, it was good to Y'ALL". I found out about this last week, and the way it was promoted, it came off as an extended doc about why the players love basketball. Just a bunch of interviews to players about their experiences. I was wrong, this is beautiful.
