Yep big guy with gun.... the Rock played him in movies. But the Luke Cage actor fits the bill more.

The mistakes they are making with the live action movies is that they are making it too real life military and Michael Bay-ish. The movies needs to have that 80s vibe to it

That's what I don't get. Damn near every 80's action movie had a GI Joe vibe to it. You put a bunch of zany personalities, give them specialty weapons uniforms and fighting styles, put them up against some ridiculous terrorist organization and....INSTANT FRANCHISE

Totally agree. The movies suck the snakes eyes /storm shadow story lines sucked. Like someone else mentioned F&F real stole that fun action vibe.

Hasbro is currently doing a crossover making their entire toy line into one cohesive universe so that GI Joe, the Transformers, MASK, The Micronauts and a couple other toy lines all exist together.

GI Joe is a soulless and gimmicky cash grab designed to do one thing. Sell toys. GI Joe, He-Man, and Transformers movies will always be mediocre at best, mindless popcorn affairs. Easily digested and discarded, because at their core, they are designed from the ground up to cater to 6-12 year old children.
