I agree with @Behelit

Everybody hates The Donald yet The Dems have not produced a candidate with name recognition and the message to sucker people in. That should have been happened. Reminds me of NYC mayoral race..Deblasio is wack but who the hell is the other person?
You usually don't see a candidate from the other side forming this early.. Trump hasn't been in office a year and a lot will be based on if he actually wants to run again. Three years from now is a long time.

People keep talking about the Russian investigation but the problem is Mueller can make his recommendation but the fact remains Trump is very popular with the Republican voting base so will the house and senant go against that and possibly impeach him?

As far as Dem candidates, I really like Bernie but he'll be 80yrs old by the time he is sworn as potus if he wins. Same thing for Joe Biden.

Sherod brown is progressive, but does he have the charm to get the vote out? Plus he has to win re-election. I definitely don't like harris, and Tulsi gabbard is only a registered Democrat because of where she lives, I don't like her politics.

Americans are easily amused and it wouldn't shock me if the "people" decide to go with an outsider like Cuban, or Winfrey.

But as it stands now I think trump wins reelection rather easily. But things can change.

The right is so openly racist and ignorant but the left doesn't do themselves any favors by being accepting of any and everything, and forcing it down our throat. America seems like the twilight zone for Norma people.

I understand your points. This however feels like a different set of circumstances given the fact that Trump is such a presence that people were familiar with nationally before his elect much less after. If whomever is going to run against him is a straight up politician then I would think getting this person adequate air time starting now is the only way this person will be able to compete profile wise. Obama is the exception and certainly not the rule

I agree, the only person I'm seeing ever mentioned nationally is Booker, Harris, and of course Bernie. Only thing is his age scares me but I'm sure he'll pick a younger VP if he gets that far.
