P.S. on the Democratic side a WASP/Anglo Saxon will get that nomination. No way in hell will a gay, jew, black, or arab/minority win.

Just bring up religion, fear mongering against hispanics/arabs/blacks, and gays...they'll re-elect him.

Democrats have failed to find someone who can sell progressive ideas convincingly and consistently. If they fail to do that, then yes.

It has nothing to do with white racism. Only 46 % of the voting population voted. If liberals are able to get part of that 54% to feel like they have something worth voting for they will win.

But mainstream democrats are apathetic because the few in power are safe from being thrown out. That is why primary challenges are important. To light a fire under their ass.

Racism and Economics played a part.

Not saying it didn’t play a part but the racism part is not an impossible hurdle.

One fact a lot of folks are uncomfortable admitting was that there were a lot of voters who voted for obama twice, supported Bernie in the primary, then voted for trump.

There is a reason why...

Secondly like I said 56% of people didn’t even vote and the turnout in 2016 was lower than 2008 and 2012. So people who felt compelled to vote for obama didn’t feel compelled to vote for Clinton or trump. Again there is a reason why.

I agree with @Behelit

Everybody hates The Donald yet The Dems have not produced a candidate with name recognition and the message to sucker people in. That should have been happened. Reminds me of NYC mayoral race..Deblasio is wack but who the hell is the other person?
