It's very easy to say that. Do you know how many coups Haiti has had? I agree. The people have to hold the leaders accountable, but it's hard when they are being supported by outside forces. And fyi a lot of the voices of change comes from the diaspora.

Trust me, I have a lot questions myself.

Fair enough.

Blacks in Cac majority countries and Blacks in Black majority countries have some different struggles. As long as we keep that in mind when we go to each others communities.

At the beginning of mean streets
Open message to @Elle Driver (ONLY because the coli would not allow me to PM her). The same sentiment applies to others in this thread whom I may have unintentionally offended.

I think we may have got off on the wrong foot and certain things were misunderstood and misconstrued.

First and foremost, in the limited time that I've been on the coli, I've respected you and thought you were a down sista. I generally like your perspective and I look up to you on certain issues.

Secondly, as a first-generation Haitian American, I have nothing but respect for African Americans. If you feel that any of my posts were dissing AAs, I am sincerely sorry.

Moreover, I was not attempting to shyt on AAs for their achievements in the Civil Rights Movement. The point I was trying to make was simply that the resources and benefits gained by the movement are not used exclusively by AAs. That goes to my deeper point that Haitian Americans shouldn't be denigrated for taking advantage of resources that were gained by the Civil Rights Movement (many thanks to your ancestors and their ilk) while turning a blind eye towards other non-AAs that do so maliciously.

I know you're an educated and intelligent woman so you can see where I'm coming from when I made that statement. Again, if you feel that I was denigrating AAs or saying that they did not achieve anything through the Movement, I'm sorry.

Lastly, even though I did piss you off or offend you, I don't think any less of you (although I'm disheartened). You're my sista so we're in the same fight. Let's not get caught up in semantics and miss the forest for the trees in our collective fight against white supremacy.

Peace and Love!
Likewise, I understand as a Haitian certain comments made prolly made you feel some type of way. At the end of the way we do need to acknowledge that integrating with each other is to our benefit. That's the whole point.

he never shytted on haitians :snoop:

me and him have been in this thread saying the same thing since page 3.

then the nut cases arrived :snoop:

I'd advise you to read this whole thread then return breh

When have I shytted on Haiti? I made all my comments to the people who fled Haiti.

see below.

Have you seen your island?

Your country is shyt because of bad leaders.

Hurricane season is here.

Haitians are known as cowards who run instead of building up their countries.

Build up your own country, c00ns.

nikkas eating dirt pies back home but they here causing issue while enjoying the rights we fought for.

We aren't running to other countries so its irrelevant.

Every skinfolk aint my kinfolk. Go back to Haiti and build it up.

Its all low blows.

He proceeds to call those who left Haiti cowards.

The majority of those who left left under the dozens of coups after the fall of the dictator. The island was under straight chaos where every life was at stake. The very reason millions of africans have left their african countries for EU and the US @Theraflu

Like really, comon to be a black man stooping to that level regardless of what haitian brehs said in here is disgusting.

Poitier, I knoq brehs were getting offensive, but the conversation was started because you said were coming in escalating tensions takign resources etc.

My beef with you is that youre stooping to this level with posters that joined like last week. And you got pretty disrespectful.

Regardless is they are true there are many things of black america that are true too, but for me to fight you by saying that is disrespectful of itself

Then you shyt on haitians who left haiti
