Black women wearing weave or straightening their hair are subscribing to the Eurocentric view of beauty. Who are they trying to attract and impress by doing that? They are literally taking hair that belongs to other women from another people and putting it on top of what grows naturally from themselves. You mat yours down and cover yours up, and either glue or sew someone else's on top of it. They are the first teachers of our children, so what exactly are they teaching? Inferiority.

Why is this long post necessary? Again I consider this a trivial matter. If a bytch is bad I don't care if she is natural or a hairhat. If you have problems with Africans wearing weave then make an in depth thread about it. Not all black women wear weave out of self-hatred or inferiority complex, but because they don't know how to maintain their hair. My oldest sister use to wear weave all the time, it is only now that she is going natural due to fully having the knowledge on how to maintain her hair.
