My Bad, that 9 foot tall green bane is from Batman and Robin and that was directed by Joel Schumacher. The Bane in the Nolan universe is closer to the one from the comics. He plans shyt out and he is sadistic. Nolan did the character justice.



Bane only took an L after he faced batman for the second time. Each time bane was on screen he was snapping necks and shyt. He didn't need to hulk up if he's strong enough to kill people easily. The first time he fought batman he absolutely destroyed him because he feels no pain unless his mask is damaged. Having him hulk up in a realistic batman film would just look corny as fukk. I think Nolan did a good compromise, I mean afterall how do you beat someone who is strong as fukk, trained by the same guy who trained you and feels no pain?

Thats one of my nitpicks with this movie... Batman didnt use his utility belt the whole movie.. You know Bane is physcially stronger, so with prep time, batman is suppose to be unbeatable. batman didnt even prep for Bane.. Unlike Bane he wasnt ready for his foe.

Tbh it felt like Batman was two steps behind the whole movie... That part i didnt like.

Still awesome movie though!

Nolan has to interpret villians in a realistic light to keep the vibe he wants. That means Joker's white skin being pain, venom getting ax'd from Bane's backstory, Ra's not being immortal, etc.

And honestly it works great.

I think a part that ppl overlook is the fact that bats was for 8 years. That nikka fell off hard. They kinda went outta there way to mention that more than a couple times.
