Adrien Broner weighed in at 144 in last fight as a Welterweight....he was never a Welterweight in the first place, even with the belt.
He's fought more fights at Junior Welterweight than he did as a Welterweight as well just like Shawn Porter has fought more fights as a Middleweight than he has as a Welterweight. Nothing is wrong with a catchweight when there is such a natural size disparity.

i'm really intrigued by this fight- i honestly don't know what's gonna happen. both fighters have flaws that the other can exploit:
broner got physically bullied by maidana cause he tried to trade and struggled fighting on his backfoot- also didn't throw enough punches to keep chino off him. porter is strong and might be try to bully him, and he throws a lot of punches
porter tried to swarm brook but kept get hit with jabs and the strong right which he stopped his momentum vs kell. broner has a good jab, fast hands and a nice right which can stop porter from rushing in.
good matchup but i wish it was at 147- not a fan of catchweights, but i'm not complaining. i don't want porter to have that excuse if he loses- saying the 2 pounds hurt his energy level when he already struggled to make weight his last fight.

broner has to look out for that dangerous leaping left hook that dropped him in the maidana fight.
also porter loves that left hook, which hurt paulie badly
also broner has to clean up his defense so those overhand rights wont constantly land like marcos did with them.

Ab is way too slick for him, and Porter can be very undisciplined at times. Ab's versatility and superior boxing IQ should get the job done.
