No he couldn't. And he was fun shy because he knew his ass would get hurt by porter.
i dont think so porter landed like 10 good punches the whole fight. with his wild ass style ab should have won (given his natural talent but like i said ealier AB's boxing skill leaves a lot to be desired) :yeshrug:

By BR: As a fan of boxing as a whole, I was outraged at the performance by Adrien Broner (30-2, 22 KOs). A man with such talent and skills, but performs horribly every time that the level of competition is increased. Then I suddenly thought to myself, are the fans and myself caught in the midst of his “big talk” rather than his skills.

Is Adrien Broner a superstar, or a fighter who sounds like he’s worthy but simply mediocre?

Broner’s fight with Daniel Ponce De Leon was a first look at his troubles, then a 12 round fight with Paulie Malignaggi, a massacre by Marcos Maidana, a battle with Emmanuel Taylor and finally a one-sided affair with Shawn Porter last Saturday night in Las Vegas, Nevada. AB [Adrien Broner], is the most entertaining boxer we’ve seen in the past couple years, but what else does he bring to the table. With bad footwork and a very hesitant offence, backed up by a miserable defense, can one put him at the top of the pedestal? Could you imagine a prime Manny Pacquiao against Broner? It would be an annihilation. I for see the young man fixated on a success lead by association with none other than Floyd Mayweather Jr., yet he forget the hard work put in by a Mayweather, Pacquiao, Bernard Hopkins and etc. The sad reality is Mayweather laughs with the young boxer instead of giving him tough love, while Mayweather stays undefeated and he hops off of the Broner train and now joins the Errol Spence Jr train.

Secondly, another issues is Broner’s incapability to choose a division to commit to and reign. He is not strong enough to win at 147 period. He faced a Maidana and a Porter in a 2 year span and looked poor in both attempts. His arrogance and his weak team fail to help lead this man in the right direction. The problem comes from his teams not having a loud presence, while Broner is the loudest voice of his team. Broner needs any trainer besides Mike Stafford, because he is given too much freedom. He feels as if he is 40-0 (40 K0) fighter on the top p4p list, while now his whilst the street as a scrub.

To conclude, the quote “Hard work beats talent, when talent doesn’t work hard” was in full effect this weekend. Team Porter showed their desire to stay in shape and be ready to fight to their fullest abilities while Broner did his usual antics to shrug off stress and pressure. This young man is serious hot waters if he does not decide to change his game, because time is ticking and boxing is sports of quick disregards, and when the fans do not seek from you, you will be destroyed.
I am always amazed at how shytty the writing is on BoxingNews24.
Its like none of their contributors are native English speakers and all their versions of Word don't have spelling or grammar check functionality.

I dont like it either. Immediately, you can tell it reads "amateur" for most of them.

I never use their opinion pieces as an "article". Hell, we are just as credible as most their writer's are.

They are just a bunch of (shytty) bloggers spewing their opinions out in horribly written screeds. That entire site is pure shyt.
