All the parents OG Baltimore have failed and now you see them trying to throw their children under the bus to look good for white people. Its pathetic just like the civil rights generation is now. Pathetic spineless. They are afraid of leading. Which if we look around is a fact. We gotta get past that so 25+ young folks can take over and lead.
the problem is that all the ones who weren't pathetic and spineless from the civil rights era are dead (murdered) or in jail.

His face was all over social media, the probability of him getting caught (or "snitched" by his friends/extended family) was high. He did a criminal act, and what his parents did was good (they know the meaning of accountability and responsibility) but potential prison sentence he is facing is ludicrous. And I don't think his parents thought the bail $ and sentence would be this bad.

What his parents did was foolish. unless he committed rape or murder handle it in house and protect your kid and his future from the system at all cost.

Cliven bundy was a criminal and those rednecks held him down and pointed guns at the police and the govt backed off and dropped it.
The black community needs to rally around these kids the same way.

i can't imagine my parents turning me over to authorities or encouraging me to turn myself over. they're pretty passive people too. they act like authority is legitimate and people should obey unjust laws. however they're also parents who would protect their child. turning your child over to a corrupt judicial system is not protecting your children.
indeed

His family is disloyal as fukk...point blank

in a different world...police investigate crimes and then charge the person with evidence...

the family didn't even let the pigs do their job...turning him in was totally unnecessary :mjlol:

it would have probably taken the cops months to do the so call "knocking on his door" and now they put this young brother in jail prematurely :mjcry:or probably never :dwillhuh:

He was a burden to his family. So they used this situation as a scapegoat to turn him in.

I doubt they even try to visit him in jail.

You blame children lime a coward instead of the adults who refuse to fight for them. What adult will allow their children to live in this type of environment? Why aren't anyone coming at the adults for failing to do anything for their children?
You guys are letting emotions cloud your ability to think. Parents should protect and rally behind their children, true, but they have the right to show them that their actions have consequences, whether it was for the good or bad. To highlight that is not cowardly. Now you guys are putting the entire blame on the parents and not at least spreading a little to the kid who actually jumped on a police car, damaged it, and had his face plastered on social media in the process. Matt keeps yapping about how the system is against us (which he is right), then why didn’t the kid use his brain and think that if he got caught then his behind will be experiencing a system that does not give two craps about him?

And for all we know his parents probably saved him by turning him in, since that was going to happen regardless. Why you ask? He might have been killed during police custody like Gray. He will be serving some time, but the life sentence won’t stick. Beats seeing your kid in the grave like Gray tho.

You guys

Like he isn't in police custody now.:russ: Like the parents aren't whining about how unfair his bail/charges is.

A Baltimore police investigation into the death of Freddie Gray found no evidence he died as the result of injuries caused during his arrest, according to CNN affiliate WJLA, citing "multiple law enforcement sources briefed on the police findings."

The sources quoted by WJLA said the medical examiner had determined Gray's death was caused by catastrophic injury after he slammed into the back of the police transport van, "apparently breaking his neck; a head injury he sustained matches a bolt in the back of the van."

Yeah anything can happen. Like I said before, his parents didn't think of the bail/charges before they told him to turn himself in. But he was going to jail regardless because his face was plastered around social media.

I can't stand the condescending TMZ idiots over there.
all cacs who talk about the incident do it condescendingly. they find great humor and joy in a mother smacking up her "thug" son for feeling voiceless and rioting due to oppression. every person i've seen in the media talk about it thinks it's funny. it's fukking pathetic.
