Hillary isn't the first to advocate Body Cameras. But she's the first to call for a Federal Law to be passed that EVERY police department have to use them. She even said federal funds should be allocated. Most people talking Body Cameras are mostly state and local focused. She took it more national. She took it a step further.
But Yes there have been Black Activist calling for Body Camera's since Mike Brown. Does that mean a Federal Law will be passed? Of course not but it was good hearing someone not Black say ALL POLICE should be wearing cameras. It seems there is push back by major police departments against Body Cameras cause they know what that means. It was the police unions that original fought tooth and nail against the dash cams.
