What yall think?

Its a preseason game but still...

Kuzma should be starting if he keeps playing like this.

Randles IQ is low. Took about 15 shots for 15 points. Stopped the flow of the ball, tried to do too much, tried to bullyball with Towns (who is much bigger), tried to play the gotdamn pg again.

Larry had moments but didn't play that well either

Ingram struggled but he's going to bother a lot of SF's not named KD on defense. He might need to become that Defense first instead of forcing him to be a go-to scorer.

Lonzo struggled but mainly because he settled on 3's. Some rattled out, some were definitley lined up and some were awful when he was rushed. Shots he took looked easy, like the shouldve just went in. He needs to be aggressive on offense, a lot of layups/dunks he passed up for the pass. If he was more aggressive that wouldve opened shyt WAY up for them.

I think the starters have zero chemistry with Zo this first game. They also played like they have zero IQ. KCP had some good hustle plays but was kinda bad offensively. A lot of plays were fukked up because players overdribbled, bobbled passes, couldn't hit shots, etc.

Teague is a shifty, quick, smart, slick PG. Zo did well when he focused more on Jeff but Teague was kinda going at him. Thats gonna happen damn near every game but like Lavar said... Thats how he gonna get better. He wasn't bad on defense though. Plays the passing lane well. I felt teague fouled him on the steal too.

IF he can hit his shots, attack the basket more, and get some players around who arent going to just play bullyball and let the ball stick then dude is going to easily average almost a triple double just based off length, insticts, and IQ.

I actually think Zo had more chemistry with Brewer and Kuzma (as usual) and a lot of the bench guys. Just basically anybody with IQ, finesse, and ready to run/move the ball plays well with Zo.

But anyway, Minnesota is a better team but it wasn't a bad first game. Zo started slow in summerleague too. I expect them to get better chemistry and things become smoother. Once Lopez and Bogut get in the rotation I expect them to look a lot better and for Zo to look great. Both Lopez and Bogut have a high IQ.
I couldn't watch the game, but if Randle is still playing like a dolt, they HAVE to ship his ass out before the deadline. If Kuzma keeps playing well, I'd be more than fine with him starting at PF and Nance coming off the bench. That would actually be a really nice PF rotation.

Was it Ingram or KCP on Wiggins? Did KCP at least look solid on defense? Did Zubac look as good as his line? He looked terrible in Summer League, so I'm hoping that was just an aberration.

I believe it was mostly ingram on Wiggins. Wiggins shot pretty bad and there was a stretch of Ingram guarding him and the length seemed to bother him. He's usually gonna have that advantage so why not exploit it.

Ingram should just be running, shooting open shots, and playing crazy defense... His job should be that simple

I understand theyre trying to find a go-to scorer but not sure if he should be that guy. Or if they should force that.Lonzo is going to make his game so much easier if he can just do that.

KCP might've guarded him for stretches, I don't remember. KCP didn't play bad but he didn't play great either. He had one good play but was kinda a non-factor. He missed a lot of open3 's I think as well. If he plays anything like last year then hes gonna be fine.

Zubac looked pretty good. Had a lot of good plays. Solid game off the bench

Honestly if KCP had hit threes, Zo had been more aggressive, a few players hit the open shots the couldve won this. Bench did better than the starters

I know it's just 1 preseason game but the Lakers looked amazingly stagnant in the half court. Lonzo need work in the pick n roll and ball handling department to break down defenders and get into the defense. Don't know about Ingram as the go to scorer either and he looks like he might be a ball stopper

Ingram has to do way more than that, he wasnt drafted to be a role player

One possession Randle tried to go at KAT and got his shyt swatted. No clue what he was thinking there.
Dude really has a terrible IQ

Ingram has to do way more than that, he wasnt drafted to be a role player
Well he can't be a go to guy continuously shooting poorly. I was more impressed at what he did defensively on Wiggins than anything he did offensively

Honestly... This has to be Lonzos team in order for them to win more... Just like HS, just like college, and honestly just like SL.

Lonzo needs the ball in his hands, nikkas need to be able to run with him, nikkas need to hit their shots, nikkas need to not stagnate the ball on offense. SL team did exactly that.

Yeah they've pretty much only been practicing defense and full court offense. Luke said they basically haven't worked on half court sets yet. The shortened training camp has them looking extra sloppy.
