Even his postups are flabby. He can say the game has changed all he wants but he's not dominating in areas he should be.
I mean the pace has changed as far as the Lakers go, this is a faster playing team. I even think the Nets with their actual 4 NBA players on it were getting burnt out from trying to keep up.

We would've had the lead earlier if Zu could've hit the good shots Zo set him up for. Dude literally blew 4/5 easy scores, so thats on him... he was right at the rim with most of his attempts.

He had one great block but that was it... he was getting abused on defense and has just been playing soft overall

Whats even crazier is that he hasn't really played that great compared to what us fans know him to play:banderas:
fukk that....he got a first step :mindblown: :heh: thats all that matters to me at the moment. last time we had point guards that could do that was jordan farmar and Smush Parker :laff:
And why would we want Melo :scust:
Melo would slow shyt down.

I hope we keep randle tho or at least give him and Clarkson the year to see how they improve playing with Zo.

I would trade Clarkson for Wade. Wade is a $25M expiring. Especially if we can attach Deng. That would open a shyt load of cap space.

Clarkson, Zubac, and Deng for Wade, Grant and maybe a future 2nd. Who says no? @Brozay
Not touching that Deng contract without a 1st attached to it :hubie:

Zubac ain't cutting it as far as an attached young asset

Clarkson does nothing for us during a rebuild

With the summer league winding down. What do you think our win total going to be like this season. I see 35-40 wins in the future. :jbhmm:

Too soon to start with all that imo, im gonna see how our core plays together. And considering how much better the West has gotten it's gonna be tough.

But if Lonzo improves as well as Ingram, Randle, Nance, and Clarkson, Lopez, and Lonzo can make them look as good as he's made these SL guys look, then we definitely can make the playoffs.

But I don't expect us to right now. I think Lonzo is gonna hit a wall eventually and teams are going to focus on stopping him a lot this season. Theyre pretty much gonna come at him everynight especially rookies.

Lonzo is also still pretty raw with his scoring and etc., But I predict Lonzo will get past that wall. Im more concerned with his health and conditioning... His conditioning will improve but he has to stay healthier. I think we do need a legit backup PG thats proven.

The only player I don't see improving all that much is Clarkson. We kinda know what he gives us at this point. He'll be a good guy to have come off the bench and decent combo backup.

I'm expecting big leaps this year for Randle, Nance, and Ingram. I also think we'll see Lonzo improve as the season goes on.

We wont really know what we have with this team till December.

I see young Steve Smith.. when people kept thinking he could point guard in the NBA. Ball plays an unsustainable style of basketball at point guard. He can't penetrate, play pick and roll or run a half court offense. His only benefit is in an open, fastbreak offense. And the Lakers donot have the horses to play that style in the NBA.

It'll be interesting to watch the reactions when Alex Caruso ends up starting more games at point guard than Ball this year.

I'm not even hating.

Clarkson is 25 and coming up on his 4th year in the league. Do you really see him taking a big leap skill wise at this point? He could be better defensively, but he is what he is at this point. I'm not even saying he's trash or anything, just that he's not going to be a fringe all star like a lot of people were claiming/hoped for.

Nah i dont think he's a star but I think he's more than serviceable.

And yeah, defense and 3 point shooting is the only thing I see him improving on.
