Due to the recent acquisition of the Lonzo the great, I'll be a heavy lakers fan going forward. Can't wait to see what Lonzo does for this team.

Yeah, while the idea of OKC trading for Paul George just so he can recruit Russ to the Lakers is fukking hilarious, I just don't see that shyt working for what the team is trying to build.
Also as much as I like Russ, he's getting older and his game is entirely dependent on his athleticism. When he starts to decline it's going to be steep as fukk.

Realistically even if we get PG and Russ, we ain't winning a ship as long as Steph KD and them boys exist. Will be fun to watch tho

If we got PG and Lebron we wouldn't be likely to beat the Warriors any time soon.
The goal is be competitive while the young talent develops (hopefully) into all star caliber players. If everything breaks right the youngins will enter their prime just as the older guys are winding down.
If the Lakers are competitive it'll be easier to build a team via free agency and if our young players pan out they can be more viable trade pieces.
This team is not looking to win it all in the next 3 years. I think the rumors of Magic wanting to get George and Lebron are bullshyt.
