I was in denial about it until a very blunt friend of mine told me it ain't coming back. I started noticing after haircuts that it seemed like my hair was growing back slower than normal. So I tried waiting longer between cuts until my friend flat out told me George it ain't coming back. She kinda hurt me with that. Funny thing is you start trying to pinpoint where things went wrong. Was it the fitted New Eras, was it because I used have waves? At any rate, nowadays I save money cutting my own hair. No need to go to the barber although I miss it.

Started at 32, lived in denial till 35 earlier this year. Wore the top long for awhile, and didnt really notice it(I did but tried to play it off as bad lighting or anything I could think of) , cut it short for spring and saw the damage, got home and took a razor to it haven’t looked bad. Gotta say, it’s higher maintenance than I thought keeping it smooth, gotta shave like every 2 days.

I grew my beard out longer than the stubble I used to wear just to have a reason to go, didn’t want to give up that relationship, sometimes that the only friend you get to talk to during the week. Plus I suck at fading my own beard.
