Missed Free throws killed us in the OT. Siakam and Mathurin killed us all night. Defense early in the season been ass. More Queta less Kornet. 4-1. On to Charlotte.

JT settled for some awful shots in OT and JB was horrendous all around. And what's up with Jrue? He was out for basically the entire 4th and OT. Either way, 4-1 and not a bad road loss all things considered

With Porzingis not playing, and Horford playing limited minutes for the regular season, Queta is the only answer for a Center with defensive intensity and rebounding

Opposing teams are averaging a high number of points in the paint. It's a freeway to the rim

I hope to God that Joe Mazzulla does not revert back to "offense and spacing" over everything and actually commit to the defensive end

One thing that bugs me is our guys trying to tip rebounds or loose balls to teammates. Grab the ball and secure it. I'm looking at you Kornet.

Queta played amazing cuz he matches the speed and length of Indiana. Kornet is a lumbering big who should play against other bigs similar to him.

Whoops. I quoted myself instead of editing my post. Still early in the morning :manny:

The missed free throws and the missed bunnies all added up at the end. Still incredibly close.

I get what Joe is trying to do, but benching JB at the start of the game hurt them.

I still remember Brad Stevens saying that he "will struggle to find the minutes for Timelord". And Joe Mazzulla was the same way where they just did not like playing Time Lord alot. Something about this regime that seems allergic to playing traditional rim running in the paint centers

The Knicks and Sixers are cool. But I'm more fearful of those younger teams like the Magic and the Cavs. They have the size and athleticism to pose problems for the Celtics, because we are so attached to running small ball. Cavs got 3 bigs (Allen, Mobley, Wade), and Magic has 4 (Carter, Isaac, Wagner, Banchero) that would be able to punish the Celtics on the inside

The answer to these matchups shouldn't be "Oh just put Tatum on them". Putting your best player on a legit big spells disaster. Like in the Bucks game, you had Tatum banging down low with Lopez. Just fukking retarded. PLAY QUETA MORE until Porzingis gets back
