I’m a big AZ fan, but I always felt like this was the worst/most overhyped song in his catalog. Idk if it’s the mix, but the song is literally unlistenable to me. Gimmie Yours and Rather Unique on the other hand are songs that I’ve had on replay for days at a time. The Format is even a million times better in my opinion.

truthfully, the b side "rather unique" is better. I'll never forget the day I bought that. I actually gave this story to someone for a book. It was a saturday and I went to the mall to buy some music with my boys. I bought the Sugar Hill single and on the B side, there was a song that we all agreed was better than Sugar HIll. I just think it was a wasted opportunity by the label to not make that a single too. They fukked up. Every time I hear Rather Unique it takes me back to that Saturday afternoon 27 years ago in my two homie's dad's white pickup truck riding from the mall.
