Azealia Banks’ rap career seems to have ended
before it really started, as she says she no longer
wants to be a part of the rap game and deleted
her Twitter account. In a strange turn of events, female emcee Azealia
Banks claimed she no longer wants to be a
rapper and proceeded to delete her Twitter
account. She’s stayed in the news because of her
publicized beefs with Iggy Azalea and T.I., as well
as with Lil Kim, which may have influenced her
decision to delete Twitter. Before deleting her
Twitter, she left her followers with this
explanation:


"no longer wishing to be a rapper.i never was….
and as soon as i started paying attention to
bullsh-t urban media, i started getting myself in
trouble. From now on i’m a vocalist, and will
not be associating myself with the “rap game”…
or whatever the f*ck that means…no more twitter for me… it makes me entirely too

The "rap is beneath me" stance she seems to be taking is weak, even though I'm not really all that familiar with her or her music. But just something about that is silly....because really, if you hadn't put YOURSELF out there like that, you wouldn't have created a perception to where these other artists would even think you'd disrespected in any fashion...so clearly you did SOMETHING. But she's acting like she had no culpability in it at all, and frankly, I don't even KNOW what happened for real....just that the "passing the buck" position is lame here.
