i refuse to conform
This the song that made him my favorite rapper.

i fixed the title

his rhyme schemes were ridiculous back then

At times i wanna watch out the Mariot, zoning on owning co-ops,
foreign drop top coups, and yachts guzzling straight shots a scotch,
formulating up plots ta escape from Salems lock cuz its scorching hot,
making it hard trying ta figure who's out ta trap me, Pataki, got all
kinds of undercovers coming at me, perhaps he, won't be happy, til they

az was ill with it

one of my favorite rap singles of all-time.

its amazing how AZ is never credited for laying down the blueprint to nas' success. without "sugar hill", theres no "if i ruled the world". and sugar hill is still the better song.

these noob herbs on here dont even remember when AZ was selling more records than nas.

I remember geeking out when he said "I want a villa Costa Rica." It was the first time i heard rapper shout-out my mother's country.

its the SAME EXACT FORMULA. from the content all the way down to the '80s beat with the r&b singer on the hook.

do you listen to music or do you just skim thru it?

AZ never out sold Nas, altho i do think IWW was influenced in some ways by Doe or Die

it influenced Reasonable Doubt too, im pretty sure Jay linked up with Ski Beatz off the strength of his track on that
