#5 is almost always the point where the album has a hype track, a dope track, a banger, or just a slight shift from the normal stuff.

tracks 3 and 6 usually hit the mark because in a well thought album track 3 usually solidifies the tone of the album and track 6 is usually the best representation of it.


one quick example being track 3 - raekwon - knowledge god, track 6 - nas - memory lane (sittin' in da park)

Not necessarily a number, but I ALWAYS check for the track before the final track. More often than not its dope.
