Pat not being where he should be and Zach looking like a shell of himself still really are killing my excitement for the team

It was fun watching Zach catch fire last night, but his burst/first step looks slow and hes not getting much lift around the rim - its concerning
We need to petition to remove Zach's euro step move to draw fouls from his arsenal of moves completely.

I swear every game, we see this guy go to the hole, change speed with the euro step then crash into a defender where he loses the ball or throws up some bullshyt and is looking for a foul, or gets called for a charge.

:flabbynsick:

Whoever said he would be looking like he did in 2020 was lying
:unimpressed:

we shouldnt give Pat a pat on the back for showing effort and giving us 12pts, 7rebs, 2blks

honestly, its his third season - that should be what he provides every night

ill get excited once he consistently gets those numbers with effort and sprinkles in the occasional 20pts, 12rebs type games
right on cue… even with quality performances

…..especially to a fan base psychologically in desperate need of “hope” going into year 2 1/2 for him ..so until he somehow becomes a 20 ppg scorer as the 4th option ..the aggression questions will likely persist
nikka hasn’t even played 2700 minutes of NBA basketball yet for his entire career ….for reference Derozan played over 2700 minutes in a single season last year and yet his 3rd year “experience” is constantly weaponized against him …like I said ..trade this nikka ..shyt is too desperate and toxic in Chicago :hubie:

His last 4 games, he's shooting 55% and 40% from 3 while getting inconsistent minutes.

These last 2 games are his first 2 playing more than 30 minutes... as a starter. Prior to that, he's been getting like 15 to 20 minutes a night. I can honestly say, in the first few games he wasn't playing well enough to warrant being out there, but in these last 4, he's looking closer to where he needs to be on a consistent basis.

He def needs to be getting 10 to 12 shots per night regardless of who's in the lineup.

its toxic to want our 4th overall pick to have it be normalized to put up 12pts, 7 rebs - why does everyone want to treat Pat Williams like some special needs kid?

This team also gotta clean up the fastbreak opportunities. Too many times this season I've seen these dudes just botch fastbreaks and fukk shyt up

  • It’s toxic to weaponize a players time in the NBA when he hasn’t played half of that time due to injury
  • It’s toxic to dismiss positive performances because your irrational expectations of a player being your savior due to their draft slot
  • It’s toxic to hinge your assessment of a players performance solely around PPG when we clearly see him being the 4-5th option at best in terms of usage

Yes Chicago is quite toxic and we see the results of that toxicity in the way recent castaways have performed once they leave …they should trade this kid tho.. a real vet like Jerami Grant definitely would have had the 3 all-stars on a path to title contention :wow:

you lose me here - expecting consistent, baseline production from our top 5 pick in year 3 is not "irrational"

regardless of all the factors, Pat just needs to perform better. if he can provide performances like last night consistently, Ill be happy with that as a start but Im not going to turn a leaf on Pat til we see some consistency

I thought Pat played good last night. He didn't do a lot of scoring, but that's understandable. Dragic had it going. Demar got hot late in the 3rd quarter and Zach and Ayo took over in the 4th. But he was still impactful in other areas. 12 pts, 7 rebounds, and 2 blocks is a good start for him.

I'm all for calling Pat out on his passive stuff, but we gotta give him a chance. We only 8 games in.

We’re 8 games into a season and you’re complaining about consistency from a guy with 96 games of experience …mind you this is right after a great performance considering role … like I said ..trade this nikka shyt is toxic :hubie:

Although I feel pat played well last night from an effort and focus standpoint I do agree with you that more should still be expected of him. The other side to vucevic not playing well, is the fact it has opened an opportunity for pat to be more assertive and go for his scoring. I still expect him to get to a 18ppg 8 reb type of player to justify being a top 4 pick that was taken off the table in trade discussions
