Honestly, this is why I kind of wanted to get another big who could potentially start at the 4 coming into this season.
IMO, Pat's offensive game has to be unlocked in transition. We would have a better picture on how he fit in with the starting unit if Lonzo wasn't hurt because we know Lonzo looks for everyone and is intentional with pushing the ball.
Pat is better suited playing with the 2nd unit (guys like Coby, Terry, Caruso... hell even Green) now with Zo out because the way the offense is and the pace that DeMar and Vuc play at makes the team play slower. That's where I can see Pat being conflicted because the majority of his time on the floor is with guys who can score in the half court easily and are not pressed to fast break. (I saw this with Ayo last year also)
On the flip side, it's a damn shame Green isn't taller. Dude just has a knack for making a play and getting his feet dirty. It's a little jarring seeing Pat come out the game and his sub comes in and immediately makes a play or gets a stop.
