2 years 6.6 for Drummond, 2nd year a player option

certainly on the cheap, and leaves the space for Gallo. There were a lot of young, more dynamic 5s out there (could throw in Jalen Smiths name too). This feels a little GarPaxy but on paper I don’t hate the idea of Gallo off the bench. Dre I’m just not high on, he’s a relic in this league.

Now that we know something bigger isn’t coming and Gallo/Dre will be it - it does beg the question of why Zach isn’t signed to his max yet?

I especially hate that Hartenstein went to the Knicks of all teams. That MSG crowd will love him though. AK will regret not pursuing by mid season

I feel a bit better about it if we got him for 3.3 mill a year. That's not too bad.

Honestly Gallo and Drummond for mle money is not too bad actually. We just need more than what they can give us and just felt more would be done to help us compete in the Eastern Conference. Was hoping for bigger moves.

I sort of agree here. There is a case that both of them combined could mean more to help us then a s&t for bamba or hartenstein at 8 mill a year. Maybe that is the front office thinking here and I get it. But I think we all know we need more.

This isn’t even a merited critique..it’s just bytching to be bytching ..if the mandate is to stay under the tax it wouldn’t matter if you used the BAE ..the MLE … the GVB ..or a PPP … or any other random acronyms…all of those exceptions count the same towards your same salary total ..it’s interesting that media outlets are already starting to make these pedantic complaints about the way the team is being steered
